Putting together your own Christmas Eve box is a magical way to create some lovely family memories for your little ones. It’s simple to do, too – just buy or decorate a box and fill it with small festive treats, then pop it under the tree for your little elves to discover on Christmas Eve.
To create ours, we used these Christmas Eve boxes from Wilko and lined them with festive wrapping paper. We've compiled some cute ideas to help you with your boxes too, including Numberblocks and Bluey gifts, Giggly activity packs, and some other brands we love. Scroll down for inspiration!
Bluey Christmas Eve box
Keep fans of Bluey and Bingo busy with this premium activity magazine, which comes with stickers, colouring pages, games, puzzles, and a pack of Little Squirts' Funny Action Cards.
Perfect for playtime and Christmas Eve cuddles, this Bluey plush wins cutest cuddly toy award by a mile.
Designed for little hands, these pocket-sized figures are perfect for imaginative play so your child can recreate their favourite Bluey episodes. They have movable arms and torsos too, so you can stand them up, sit them down and fix them into all sorts of funny poses.
Little Bluey fans will be thrilled with this fun-packed matching card game in their Christmas Eve box – and it's just the ticket for keeping them occupied as the excitement builds. To play, they simply pick a card from the deck and match it to their bingo card. When they get three matches in a row, they can shout 'Bingo!'
Numberblocks Christmas Eve box

Each set contains 55 blocks, 10 clear Numberling blocks, and a handy stand to store them in, plus an activity sheet and two sheets of peel-and-play stickers. What better Christmas Eve treat for a Numberblocks fan?
Numberblocks makes children excited about learning... even on Christmas Eve! The beauty of these double-sided cards is they can practise their number skills again and again, then wipe them clean and start again. Each pack includes 50 cards, plus two wipe-clean pens.
Pyjamas are a must-have for your Christmas Eve box, and little ones will love this pair featuring blocks 1-10.

Festive Christmas Eve Box
Christmas Eve can be a little busy! Spuds to peel, last-minute presents to wrap and an over-excited 4-year-old asking one hundred questions about Santa. Keep little hands and minds busy with this colourful set, which includes four shopping games and an activity book crammed full of fun and learning.
Christmas is officially gingerbread season, and with this kit you get all the fun of decorating without having to even switch the oven on! Create some cute designs together or let your kids loose with the icing while you finish wrapping presents. Each pack includes pre-cooked gingerbread figures, ready-to-use icing, and colourful sweets to decorate.
Great if you want to make your child's Christmas Eve box a bit more personal, but you can't find any items with their name on (if you know, you know). The star print adds a nice festive touch too.
Make bedtime on Christmas Eve extra special with this super fluffy hot water bottle, which is perfect for snuggling up with. In fact, we might be stealing this one for ourselves...
Everyone knows Christmas is the time to don a new pair of socks – the fluffier, the better! Pop these super socks from Frugi into your Christmas Eve box for toasty toes and ear-to-ear smiles. They're made from 90% organic cotton, and there's four designs to choose from, including a cute penguin and a soft white polar bear. We love the matching gift bag, too.
We love the level of detail that goes into Living Nature's furry friends – from the fuzzy fur on their noses to the fluffy tails – and this polar bear is perfect for cuddles in bed on the eve before Santa’s arrival.
If we could sum up this book with a single emoji, it would be this one = 😭. We love the beautiful illustrations inside Sam McBratney's much-loved story about Little Nutbrown Hare and Big Nutbrown Hare, so put on your PJs, snuggle under the covers and read it together the night before the big day. We can't promise you won't find a little something in your eye afterwards.
