Chef hats at the ready for this super simple recipe. Little ones will love choosing which toppings they'd like to sprinkle over their chocolate apples and you'll love how quickly you can throw these together.

  • Apples
  • Lolly sticks
  • Melted chocolate
  • Toppings (we like chopped nuts and sprinkles)
Timing guide: 10 minutes

1. Push the lolly sticks through the bottom of the apple.

2. Dip the apples into melted chocolate.

3. Decorate with toppings then leave to set.

4. Enjoy!

Learning guide

The day we realised melting chocolate can be turned into a science lesson was a good day. Use this recipe as a way to help children understand how solids can become liquids – can your little one predict what will happen to the chocolate as it heats up? What about when you put the chocolate apples in the fridge? Kids will love the sensory experience of dipping the apples and sprinkling on their chosen toppings too.
