An easy Easter card idea just for ewe!
by Natalie Keeler

This sheep card is adorably fluffy, and little hands will love playing the soft texture of the cotton wool as they help you make it. They'll also need to dip their hands into black paint and add their handprint to the card, so have some baby wipes on standby too.

You can use any leftover cotton wool to make this spectacular sheep bonnet, or fill some old socks and craft this octopus sock puppet.

You'll need:

  • A4 sheet of card
  • Black paint
  • Cotton wool
  • Googly eyes
  • Glue

How to make a cotton wool sheep card

Step 1

Fold the piece of card in half.

Step 2

Help your child to print a black handprint on the card (you want to position the card so the opening is to the left – because you’ll be turning it the other way around in a moment).

Step 3

Once the paint is dry, turn the card so the opening is to the right and the handprint is upside down. Ask your child to glue cotton wool all over the hand – but leave the fingers and thumb, as there will be the sheep’s legs and head.

Step 4

Finally, add two google eyes to the thumbprint.
