Festive flags fit for a fete!
Kick off the yuletide season with cute reindeer craft

It’s a festive, cosy afternoon. The tree is twinkling, Mariah’s crooning, the fire’s roaring – now is the perfect time for some Christmas crafts. Okay, your house might be more hectic than hygge, but this reindeer bunting craft is really simple to make, and you can set your kids up with it while you find 5 minutes' peace.
You'll need
- Brown paper
- Googly eyes
- Red pom poms
- Glue
- String
- Sticky tape
- Pegs
How to make your reindeer bunting
Step 1
First, your child cuts out lots of big brown paper triangles.
Step 2
Then, they glue on googly eyes and red nose pompoms.
Step 3
Tape the top of each reindeer to the string.
Step 4
Finally, position the pegs so they look like antlers.
Step 5
Hang up on a mantelpiece or in the window.
Learning guide
Small children will enjoy the repetitive nature of this activity, and older kids can have a go at giving each reindeer a different feature, like funny eyebrows or a little hat. Your child will also need to keep track of how many flags they've created, and the reindeer's features (two eyes, one nose), which will help them with their maths skills too.
