Crunchy, chocolatey Rice Krispie cakes
We just can't get enough!

Not just for Easter, chocolate Rice Krispie cakes are a firm favourite with us – they're simple, and they taste so good! We've tried and tested this recipe, so you can make it with confidence.
The only difficult bit is trying not to eat them all once you've put your child to bed.
Ingredients
- 100g puffy rice
- 200g chocolate
- Mini chocolate eggs
Method
Step 1
Melt the chocolate in the microwave for 15 seconds at a time, stirring in-between each time.
Step 2
Meanwhile, your child can measure and pour the puffy rice into a bowl.
Step 3
Then, they can add the melted chocolate. Give your kid a spatula so they can stir it all up!
Step 4
Next, they dollop the chocolate mixture into cupcake cases.
Step 5
Decorate with chocolate eggs, and chill in the fridge until set.

While your child was having fun making this recipe, little did they know they were witnessing the science of melting chocolate, learning measuring skills, and using their creativity to decorate the cakes! Before you melt the chocolate, can your child guess what might happen to it as it heats up? What about when you put the cakes in the fridge to set?
